The Special Character of the Daytime Concert Series

The Daytime Concert Series has been presented with pride by Operatunity for over 10 years and its fun, informal, top quality concerts have gained a loyal following with many thousands of people enjoying the concerts each month. Eight variety concerts are toured nationally, amounting to over 200 concerts annually, and each concert series is carefully crafted to present a different theme and music from the others.

In 2013 our offerings range from The Great Crooners to Opera to Popera. Each concert is presented by professional artists highly accomplished in their own musical genres. In addition as part of our commitment to the growth of the music community we mentor young performers both through our company and through our Trust and present them to you with pride.

These artists host you for lunch after the show and are happy to mingle and treat you as part of the Operatunity family.

Our concerts are presented with a chat, a laugh and with warmth eliciting such comments as: I am coming in today for my monthly dose of happiness; we would have to pay $150 anywhere else for the quality you provide; I am not walking home, I am floating home. Our objectives have always been to present incredible concerts, brimming with joy, delivered with professionalism and warmth and bucket loads of fun, that leave you with love of the music and a laugh in your heart.

About our concerts

Our concerts are a blend of music, fun and camaraderie presented in a professional informal manner.

  • We aim to provide quality entertainment to those who prefer to go out during the day rather than at night.
  • We feature professional singers and musicians in themed concerts of fine songs from yesterday and today.
  • Concerts commence at 11 am.
  • Concerts are approximately one and a half hours long with lunch included in the ticket price.
  • An optional 2 pm show is sometimes offered if the 11 am show is sold out well in advance. An afternoon tea is included for 2 pm concert goers.
  • All venues have been carefully chosen to be mobility and wheelchair friendly.
  • We urge you to arrive early, as we do not reserve seats “first in, best seated”.

Operatunity is available for corporate events and private functions.
