Our Style

Class Act Opera believes that all students should have the opportunity to experience professional live theatre. We encourage and promote the musical experience by stimulating an interest in music, the arts in general, and a chance to enhance the use of creativity and imagination in all children. Our philosophy is that opera is fun and can be made accessible to all. Our track record is testament to our capacity to combine performances that are both an entertaining and an educational experience. We achieve this in the following way :

• We only employ professional opera singers and musicians
• We present a 45 minute opera fully costumed
• A question time after the show is an important part of our presentation which the children find a fascinating time to get an insight into how we put together our shows
• An extensive education package is sent prior to the show containing a great many resources. This includes opera synopsis, operatic history, tapes, composer information and worksheets
