• Opera Australia presents a very special opera production of The Magic Flute in English. Written by Mozart for the people, this is the most accessible of all operas.  

Sister Act is one of the most beloved musical movies of all time, featuring vibrant songs like O Happy Day and I will follow Him - sure to bring a smile to your face.

• Considered one of the greatest musicals ever, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is the story of Tina’s journey from her humble beginnings and her rise to stardom. It features 20 of her greatest hits including Proud Mary, What’s Love got to do with it and Simply the Best!

• Other activities include day trip to the Yarra Valley with wine tasting, cruise on Yarra River, Werribee Mansion and the Victoria State Rose Garden in bloom in spring, Victoria Markets and Parliament tour, and free time to enjoy this lovely city!

MONDAY 11 NOVEMBER 2024 (L, D)

Highlights Include: 

• Today we fly to Melbourne and enjoy a short driving tour of Melbourne on arrival. 

• Then it’s off to Brunetti’s for lunch before we enjoy a river cruise of the most famous sights of Melbourne. 

• Welcome dinner at our lovely hotel with our concert: The Golden Era of Musicals! What a way to start our trip.

TUESDAY 12 NOVEMBER 2024 (B, D)

Highlights Include: 

• Free morning to enjoy a leisurely breakfast (best breakfast in the world) or hit the shops. 

• Early afternoon we are off to Geelong, firstly to the Geelong Botanical Gardens, before we have time to have a look at the shops. 

• Pre-show dinner this evening and then it’s off to the endearing opera, The Magic Flute. We are in great seats. Mozart wrote this accessible opera for the people. Our Opera Australia production will be presented in English and it features great songs including the 2 Queen of the Night arias plus famous duets and ensembles.

WEDNESDAY 13 NOVEMBER 2024 (B, L)

Highlights Include: 

• Full day tour to the Yarra Valley today which includes a gourmet lunch at one of the famous vineyards, wine tasting and a chocolate talk and tasting. 

• Free evening to enjoy meeting friends or check out one of the many fantastic restaurants in Melbourne.

THURSDAY 14 NOVEMBER 2024 (B, D)

Highlights Include: 

• Full day off to enjoy Melbourne, take your own tour, enjoy the free trams or go shopping!

• We enjoy an early pre-show dinner this evening before it’s the fabulous, fun and frivolous show Sister Act. One of the most beloved musical movies of all time, this is now an entertaining music theatre show, featuring all the great tunes including O Happy Day and I will Follow Him. As always we have great seats!

FRIDAY 15 NOVEMBER 2024 (B, High Tea)

Highlights Include: 

• We step back to Victorian times. First stop is the famous Victorian Markets, built in 1878. Time to do a little Christmas shopping or simply enjoy a wander. 

• Then it’s off to Parliament House, built in1856, followed by high tea in one of its grand rooms. 

• Tonight we are off to the exciting production of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, presenting her life story, from humble beginnings to stardom. The show has taken the world by storm and features her hits including Proud Mary, Simply the Best and What’s Love got to do with it!

SATURDAY 16 NOVEMBER 2024 (B, L, D)

Highlights Include: 

• Tour to the famous Werribee Park Mansion today to discover the story of one of the grandest mansions in Victoria, completed in 1877.

• We wander the Victoria State Rose Garden in spring where over 5000 roses will be in bloom. 

• Then it is off to lunch at Werribee Open Range Zoo (we will not be the lunch) before we take a bus ride around the open range zoo to see animals roaming free.

• Time to dress up for our finale gala dinner with our theme Romance! as we look at the various life events that are related to love and romance, from the comic to the tragic and everything in between!

SUNDAY 17 NOVEMBER 2024 (B)

Home today filled with 5 incredible music events, food and fun after visiting this great city!

This Trip Includes:

• Return economy airfares - Auckland to Melbourne on Air New Zealand. 

• 6 nights at the 5-star Langham Hotel, Melbourne situated on the banks of the Yarra River on Southbank surrounded by great restaurants and within walking distance of the city.

Mobility - Easy Tour

This tour will suit people with a stick, but not a walker or in a wheelchair. You will be required to walk to get from place to place and stand in museums and gardens, but it is designed to be an easy tour with lots of time to rest, travel on a coach and walk easy leisurely distances. You will need to be able to get on and off a bus with ease. If you are unsure, please ring the office to discuss your suitability for our tours.
