A trip with a difference as we enjoy a week of music making together. We form a choir, learn songs and have lots of fun with singing workshops. You don’t need to be a great singer, just bring your love of singing. We will present a finale concert together, all while drinking wine and eating great food in the Barossa Valley.

• Sing a Song Music Festival where you will have the chance to work with some amazing professionals, learn songs, parts, movement, even yodelling and then perform these songs at a grand finale concert on the last evening.  

• We invite international superstar, teacher, choral maestro, conductor (and Amanda’s husband) Ravil Atlas plus many of our favourite Operatunity stars to work and play together, making music.  

• Fabulous concerts presented by some of our favourite artists in amazing surroundings including A Royal Variety Show in a vineyard, When Irish Eyes are Smiling at a local restaurant, Classics by Candlelight at a historic church, Sing a Song Finale where you sing for us and we sing for you in a vineyard and Soiree with wine and supper in a historic chateau vineyard.  

• 7 nights at the 4-star Novotel Barossa Valley Resort in superior rooms, all with private balconies and views over the valley and surrounded by world-famous wineries.

FRIDAY 21 MARCH 2025 (D) 

Novotel Barossa Valley Resort (7 nights) 

Highlights Include: 

• This morning we fly to Adelaide.  

• On arrival enjoy an Adelaide city tour by coach, plus food experiences including visits to the Central Markets and Haigh’s Chocolates.  

• Free time for lunch and shopping in Adelaide’s CBD. 

• A light dinner at the hotel this evening and an early night due to our early start today.

SATURDAY 22 MARCH 2025 (B, L, D) 

Highlights Include: 

• Time at the Farmers Market to delve into local produce and sample the delicious fare.  

• A tour of Lyndoch Lavender Farm, great shopping, learn about lavender and enjoy a light lunch.  

• This afternoon, the first of our workshops, then free time for swimming or resting. We split into groups to enjoy different activities and then come together to make music.  

• A gala welcome dinner with great music from our artists. Our theme this evening is A Royal Variety Show, presented in a vineyard!

SUNDAY 23 MARCH 2025 (B, MT, L) 

Highlights Include: 

• Tour to the historic Martindale Hall, a Georgian style with Italianate influenced sandstone mansion.

• Then we experience an Italian long lunch! 

• Replete with great food, wine and company, it’s time for a siesta and dinner at your own cost.  

• This evening, the second of our fun workshops!

MONDAY 24 MARCH 2025 (B, L, D) 

Highlights Include: 

• Visit Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop & Cafe for a cooking class, lunch and shopping.  

• An afternoon making music before some time off to swim or freshen up. 

• Dinner of local fare at a local restaurant with concert tonight: When Irish Eyes are smiling!

TUESDAY 25 MARCH 2025 (B, L, Supper)

Highlights Include: 

• Transfer to the lovely town of Hahndorf. With its German heritage we explore this quaint town, and myriad of great shops!  

• Lunch and a chance to relax over a glass of wine. 

• A special wine tasting and tour at Chateau Yaldara and then a private concert Soiree from our team with wine and supper. What a civilised way to spend a twilight!

WEDNESDAY 26 MARCH 2025 (B, L, Wine Tasting) 

Highlights Include: 

• A morning making music, before we enjoy lunch at Seppeltsfield Winery plus time to visit the Jam Factory and Vasse Virgin.  

• Full afternoon off for a siesta and time for swimming.  

• After dinner we transfer to the lovely Bethany Church for a special evening: Classics by Candlelight

THURSDAY 27 MARCH 2025 (B, D) 

Highlights Include: 

• A morning of final rehearsals and then time off this afternoon to enjoy our beautiful hotel and surroundings.  

• Finale dinner Sing a Song in an amazing winery with music, gourmet food and wine. A musical feast - you will sing for us and we will sing for you. What a way to end our ‘making music’ visit to the Barossa!

FRIDAY 28 MARCH 2025 (B) 

Today we fly home, perhaps our suitcases and maybe our bodies a little heavier but our souls are definitely a little lighter, enriched by making music and meeting fabulous fellow music lovers. 

This Trip Includes:

• Return airfares Auckland - Adelaide on Air New Zealand.  

• 7 nights at the 4-star Novotel Barossa Valley Resort in superior rooms, all with private balconies and views over the valley and surrounded by world-famous wineries.  

Sing a Song Music Festival where you will have the chance to work with some amazing professionals, learn songs, parts, movement, yodelling and then perform these songs at a grand finale concert on the last evening. We will provide recordings of your parts and words/sheet music (for those who read music) before you leave NZ to allow you some time to work on songs but we will also provide lots of time to work on parts and have fun along the way.  

• Fabulous concerts presented by some of our favourite artists in amazing surroundings including A Royal Variety Show in a vineyard, When Irish Eyes are Smiling at a local restaurant, Classics by Candlelight at a historic church, Sing a Song Finale where you sing for us and we sing for you in a vineyard and Soiree with wine and supper in a historic chateau vineyard.

• Initial & Second deposits are fully refundable up until final balance due date, minus an administration fee of up to $500 plus any non-recoverable costs. 

• All monies are non-refundable at final balance due date. This becomes an insurance claim. 

• Bank transfer payments incur no surcharge. Credit card payments incur surcharge of 1.5%.

• Travellers need to be independently mobile and fit to travel. 

• Bookings will only be accepted with initial deposit & booking form. 

• All travellers must obtain comprehensive travel insurance for international travel and insurance for domestic travel is recommended.

Mobility - Easy Tour

This tour will suit people with a stick, but not a walker or in a wheelchair. You will be required to walk to get from place to place and stand in museums and gardens, but it is designed to be an easy tour with lots of time to rest, travel on a coach and walk easy leisurely distances. You will need to be able to get on and off a bus with ease. If you are unsure, please ring the office to discuss your suitability for our tours.
