Our Italy Opera Tour is almost sold out, and we have just confirmed all tickets!
First, we see La Traviata in Venice at the venetian palace, Palazzo Barbarigo Minotto. Presented by the Musica a Palazzo ensemble, this show “offers opera lovers a feast for both the eyes and the ears.”
Our next three shows will take place in Florence. We have secured premium tickets to the thirteenth edition of Teatro del Silenzio 2018, with Andrea Bocelli. This open-air amphitheatre is located in Lajatico, the home town of Bocelli. We attend the Torre del Lago Puccini Festival in Viareggio, to see La Boheme. A festival dedicated to composer Giacomo Puccini, this is one of the most anticipated events in Tuscany every summer. We will also experience a three tenors performance at the 1881 built Saint Mark’s English Church.
After a day of admiring the breath-taking views surrounding Sorrento, we will enjoy a folklore concert of Neopolitan songs, at the Teatro Tasso; a cinema theatre in Sant’ Antonino Square.
We have just announced that we will be attending Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, a two-act ballet presented at the Caracalla Baths, said to have been built between AD 212-217.
We end our tour in Verona where we will see two shows at Verona Amphitheatre; Carmen, a tale of lust and jealousy, and Aida, a story of deep love and conflicts of the heart.
Through out our stay, Bonnie and Jess will also perform for us in beautiful Italian settings.
This trip is for opera, culture and history lovers alike. Touring July 18 - August 16, 2018.
