The Last Night of the Proms will see our favourite performers Sue, John, Karl and Bonnie back together for a variety show of magnificent melodies, skits and singalongs! We haven’t had our core performers together since our 15th Year Anniversary Gala in late 2016, so this harmonious reunion is well overdue! Both Karl and Bonnie have all performed in several concerts this year, while Sue & John have been exploring the wonders of the world escorting our fabulous travellers; but they will soon come together again to give you a show of madness, mayhem and magic!
We welcome back Hamish McGregor, who in 2015 performed with Operatunity in The Many Faces of Gilbert & Sullivan. Since then, Hamish has been directing many shows, like The Wizard of Oz and Oliver! and has written & directed his own puppet musical Avenue Q. Hamish is thrilled to be hitting the road with Operatunity again to see the best parts of beautiful Aotearoa and looks forward to seeing you all again soon!
Together our performers will tribute to Vera Lynn on her 100th birthday and feature tributes to many famous acts like Dame Edna, John Cleese, Florence Foster Jenkins, the Goons, Peter Sellars, Music Hall artists and many more.
Sue, John, Karl, Bonnie, along with Hamish and pianist Penny, will reunite in Nelson for the sold out Last Night of the Proms concert that starts Friday August 11.
