Kaikoura residents free 'Operatunity'

'The Kaikoura community will be in for a treat when variety concert organiser Operatunity brings a free show to town in a couple of weeks.

Eldercare worker Nicky Woodill said the company came to her in December to enquire about donating food and other items for Christmas food hampers for residents of the town.

They wanted to be involved, to be able give something back, to bless Kaikoura and encourage the town along, said Woodill.' - read more on Stuff.co.nz

The funds for this performance were generously donated by Operatunity patrons, and when our concert coordinator Lucy got in touch with Nicky Woodhill from Eldercare, she suggested that providing a concert would be the best way to help Kaikoura residents, since there was already so many food donations and donations to local schools.

Operatunity Stars Tizane McEvoy and Alex Milligan will be accompanied by Reg Towers for a free concert of light classical, opera and show tunes. The concert, Spotlight on Stage, is on March 26th at 2pm at the Kaikoura Hall and in classic Operatunity style, will be followed by afternoon tea.
