Operatunity is proud to present The Epiphanies, performing in our next tour Divas Through the Decades!
For the first time, audiences will get to see the fabulous girl trio The Epiphanies, as they star in Operatunity’s next daytime concert tour, Divas Through the Decades touring nationwide 17th July – 19th August. The trio is made up of Rebecca Wright, Sharon Emirali and Gail Tipene.
With mostly corporate gigs under their belts, The Epiphanies are really looking forward to going on tour together. “We started out performing together, as an agent requested a 60s girl group, but we ended up having so much fun at that gig that we decided to carry on!”
Rebecca, who has toured with Operatunity before, is looking forward to having Sharon and Gail by her side. “I love the harmonies that three women can create, but more than that, it is just so nice to work alongside friends.”
Rebecca is excited to show what their trio can do alongside Operatunity favourites Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua and Tainui Kuru with the Glenn Miller Band. “This concert is lots of fun tunes, costumes and choreography with the tight harmonies of The Andrews’ Sisters, the swagger of the 50s and the frivolity of the 60s and 70s.”
And as for who Rebecca’s favourite Diva is, she finds that a tough question to answer, “I have so much love for the original Divas, women like Ella Fitzgerald all the way through to modern Divas like Beyoncé.”
Featuring hits including; Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Summertime, and We’ll Meet Again from the 40s; Mister Sandman, Cry Me a River and Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend from the 50s; These Boots are Made for Walkin’, I Say a Little Prayer, and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough from the 60s; and an ABBA medley and Natural Woman from the 70s, this is sure to be a spectacular show filled with all your favourites!
