Operatunity is delighted to present our very own prince and princess, Alex and Alex! Joining us for our Cinderella Christmas Pantomime, audiences will no doubt be familiar with Operatunity veteran Alex Milligan and The Velvetines member Alex Foster.

Their tale of friendship however, begins long before they walked through Operatunity’s door! Over 12 years ago whilst at high school they had the same singing teacher, Auckland Soprano Fiona Ferens. It was Fiona who introduced them at a singing lesson and they have been virtually inseparable ever since!

After high school, they both completed a Bachelor of Music in classical voice performance together at the University of Auckland and have gone on to perform in concert and on stage in a vast of array of musicals and operas together.

Most recently the pair teamed up for Papakura Theatre Company’s Curtains, where Alex Milligan was the handsome detective and Alex Foster was the leading lady. They say they are incredibly excited to be performing together as Cinderella and Prince Charming in this upcoming pantomime – their biggest challenge will not be laughing uncontrollably together on stage!

The duo will be performing together alongside Bonnie and Karl as the ugly step-sisters, Lynette Martin as The Fairy Godhag/Stepmother, and accompanied by Paul Carnegie-Jones on the piano.
