Yasawa High School in Fiji

During our recent tour in Fiji we were hoping to visit the water project at Yasawa High School that many Operatunity customers donated towards in 2015. Unfortunately due the cyclone, the swells around the school were so strong that we were unable to land at the High School to see the project for ourselves.

Elenoa from Vinaka Fiji Trust came onboard and spoke to us about the huge impact the Operatunity Water Project has made on over 400 children at both the primary and secondary schools. "This is the first and largest water project of its kind in Fiji and cost $57,000 of which Operatunity and its customers donated $37,000 towards. For these children to enjoy fresh, clean water everyday is beyond description. In fact the school is now attracting more teachers as well because of the access to clean water. Many of these teachers refused to come to the island where no fresh water was available!" She said.

Clean, accessible water seems such a basic need to every human being on earth. Due to your generosity the Operatunity Water Project fulfils that need for over 400 students in Fiji.
