Nearly 1 Million Tickets Sold and Counting!
This year marks a major milestone for one of New Zealand’s most-loved entertainment companies — Operatunity is celebrating 25 years of sharing music and joy with communities across Aotearoa.

Founded in 2001 by Susan Boland and John Cameron, Operatunity has presented over 3,000 concerts, employed hundreds of Kiwi artists, and sold close to 1 million tickets — bringing everything from opera and musical theatre to rock and roll, swing, and jazz to audiences of all ages, particularly seniors and regional communities.
With its signature blend of world-class talent, fun, and feel-good energy, Operatunity has become a household name in New Zealand music and live entertainment.
“It’s a celebration of connection through music,” says soprano and co-founder Susan Boland. “Our audiences are like family, and we’re honoured to share this journey with them.”
Long-time Operatunity performer Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua adds, “There’s nothing like seeing the joy on people’s faces. Operatunity isn’t just a concert — it’s an experience that touches hearts.”
The 2026 season features a special anniversary concert, returning favourites, and plenty of sparkle — all part of a year-long celebration of this extraordinary Kiwi success story.
