The Westin Brisbane (1 night)
Refreshingly unique The Westin Brisbane celebrates Brisbane City’s air of laid-back sophistication. Located in the city centre near popular attractions like the Botanic Gardens, Queen Street Mall and Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC).
Brisbane, capital of Queensland, is situated on the Brisbane River. Clustered in its South Bank cultural precinct are the Queensland Museum and the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art.
Highlights Include:
• Today we fly from Auckland to Brisbane, with lunch included on arrival before checking into our lovely hotel.

Kingfisher Bay Resort (6 nights)
This hotel is the premier eco resort on K’gari (Fraser Island).
With its idyllic white beaches, endless sunshine, World Heritage wilderness to explore and spectacular sunsets across the bay, it’s the perfect place to stay and unwind on island time.
Highlights Include:
• An early start today as we take our time driving north to
River Heads with stops along the way.
• Free time for shopping and own lunch in Noosa.
• At River Heads we transfer by ferry to the magnificent Fraser Island – a World Heritage listed island, featuring complex dune systems that are still evolving and an array of rare and unique features including dune lakes and tall rainforests.
• Arrive Kingfisher Bay Resort with free time to freshen up and relax before a casual dinner at the hotel.
• Illumina Return to Sky light show. Using the surrounding native environment as an artistic platform, Illumina will captivate audiences with its ethereal beauty, casting vibrant hues and intricate patterns across the night sky as the narrative of the world’s largest sand island unfolds.

• A Bush and Tucker Talk and Taste Experience. Explore the Tastes of Australia program and experience the delights of native bush tucker ingredients.
• Nibble on native berries bursting with flavour, and relish in the refreshing citrus of lemon myrtle, as the Chef and Resort Ranger explain how these ingredients can be utilised in cooking.
• With an endless list of native bush tucker on our doorstep, the Chef will present a selection of ingredients in their natural, raw state, detail their origin, and pair them with a selection of three freshly barbecued meats.
• With many of the ingredients grown on K’gari, watch on as the Chef demonstrates how to use them, presents the cooked dishes for you to taste, and shares some recipe secrets.

• Surrounded by sparkling turquoise waters and incredible marine life including sea turtles, dolphins, fish, rays and more, this scenic cruise provides the perfect opportunity to swim & snorkel in the Great Sandy Strait!
• Have a go at stand-up paddle boarding, glide down inflatable slides, relax on floating mats, play a game of beach cricket, soak up some sun on the beach and much more.
•Time off for relaxing by the pool with a good book or a snooze this afternoon.

MONDAY 11 MAY 2026 (B, L)
The Westin Brisbane (2 nights)
Back to stay at The Westin, the same hotel as on arrival so we know our way around here now.
Highlights Include:
• Check-out of Kingfisher Bay Resort and transfer by ferry to River Heads where we board our coach for our journey south to Brisbane.
• We break the journey in Maryborough, the birthplace of P.L. Travers, author of Mary Poppins.
• Maryborough was Queensland’s industrial powerhouse in the final decade of the 19th century producing naval ships and railway locomotives. Today it’s a lovely place to visit for its historic buildings.
• Free time to wander around the historic streets, and to grab a coffee.
• Continuing our journey south we arrive at the Ginger Factory where we have a light lunch and a tour of the factory with tastings of the world’s finest ginger!
• Apart from learning about ginger, we can go for a ride around the ginger factory on a train or enjoy free time for shopping.
• Arrive Brisbane and check-in at our hotel.
• A free evening to catch up with family and friends for dinner or discover the culinary delights of the world-class dining scene, everything from casual eats and sweet treats to fine dining.

TUESDAY 12 MAY 2026 (B, HT, D)
Highlights Include:
• Driving tour of Brisbane including Mt Coot-tha Lookout, the highest point in Brisbane with remarkable panoramic views of the city and well-known Brisbane landmarks.
• Visit historic Ormiston House which was the home of Australian sugar industry pioneer, Captain Louis Hope. It is regarded as one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in Queensland. The house dates back to 1862, has spacious grounds and gardens, and expansive views overlooking Moreton Bay. Ormiston House has
been meticulously restored and furnished with authentic period pieces. We will enjoy high tea on the verandah.
• Free afternoon for last minute shopping.
• Our final night dinner plus concert, Opera to Die For! This is a look at opera, with some tongue-in-cheek moments, famous arias, duets and ensembles and a chance to hear the glorious voices of our amazing artists.

Mobility - Moderate Tour
All our trips are specifically designed for our core market, but this trip does contain travel challenges, either because of the region visited or the walking distances or uneven surfaces that arise at some sites. We do advise that you evaluate your level of fitness with your doctor before you consider booking this tour.
This trip has a little more walking than an easy tour. It is a moderate tour for one of the following reasons - you may need to walk with ease for up to one hour at a slow pace or be able to climb stairs or be able to get on and off boats, trains and buses.
This tour does include a 4WD tour over rough terrain. This trip will not suit those on walkers and a moderate level of mobility is required.
