;
Following the announcement last night from PM Jacinda Ardern with regards to the Coronavirus pandemic, we believe we need to make a preemptive move in regards to our concerts for the next two weeks. So it is with sincere regret that John and I have decided to temporarily suspend the following concerts presented by Operatunity effective immediately.

These concerts were due to be presented over the next two weeks for the remainder of the Glenn Miller and the Big Band Era season as follows:

March 16 Hamilton
March 17 Rotorua
March 18 Gisborne
March 19 Hastings
March 20 Lower Hutt

March 23 Carterton
March 24 Kapiti
March 25 Palmerston North
March 26 Whanganui
March 27 New Plymouth

We are a company who has a duty of care to keep our customers and staff safe. Our company has been built on integrity in business and genuine care of our senior population. Every day we deal with the more mature members of society who are, according to all statistics, the most susceptible to COVID-19. With this in mind we need to mitigate risk and make a strong decision to ensure your health and safety.

Ultimately this is a decision based on care of people and not business.

We do regret that you may not get a chance to see one of the most gorgeous and musically sublime concerts we have ever produced. We are so proud of this show and all the incredible musicians and singers, so ably led by Bonnie. We hope, however, that we can reschedule the missed shows but we will need to take some time to see if this is possible.
Please do not contact us immediately as we will be working hard over the next few days to contact everyone booked into the shows listed above. We have people who travel up to two hours to come and see our shows. We do not want anyone to arrive not knowing we have cancelled the shows. Please do let all your friends and contacts know as well if you can.

We kindly ask ticket holders to keep their tickets until they receive further instructions. Your tickets will remain valid until the exchange procedure is established by us. There will be no refunds but we will work hard to ensure that you are able to use your credit, either to see Glenn Miller at a rescheduled date or another show of your choice. All season ticket holders will have their ticket transferred either to the alternate date or to the first show in 2021.

We will announce a recommencement of concerts as soon as we feel we can.

We thank you for all your support of us and the many messages of care and love that we have received from you over the past couple of weeks.

We are all in this together and it reminds us what is important in life. When this is all behind us I promise you we look forward to being able to share the love, fun and happiness through music and friendship with you.

We know that music can transcend us away from the stressors of life and we can enjoy a sense of togetherness. We saw that demonstrated on news reports last night with people in Italy singing to each other from their apartments into the streets. John and I have been singing to you loudly from our house too but maybe it’s just a bit hard for you all to hear us!

Fundamentally, care of each other is what makes the world a better place for us all.

With our love and very best wishes to you,

Sue and John Cameron
